That's not completely true. I had a very short haircut once and I got a LOT of attention from it. It depends on the cut. If it's a soccer mom bob cut, then eeek...it's not such a good look for a young woman. But a little pixie cut can be hella sexy. It all depends on where you get it done and how well you keep up with it. Short hairstyles are pretty hard to maintain because if you don't keep up, it starts to look pretty bad as it's growing out. I've been there! It's no fun.

That's true on some people. Guys in general, still like girls with longer hair because they don't remind them of boys. Why would you want to date someone that has the same haircut that you do?! Not that I agree totally, but think about it.

I just read and interesting study on what makes people think other people are attractive; they were trying to teach a computer how to do it. What they found was, for men, the faster their brain can identify you to be a girl, the prettier they will say you are. If it takes a man 3 nanoseconds to recognize you are a girl, he will find you prettier than if it takes him 5 nanoseconds. Long hair is the type of thing that helps someone quickly identify you as a girl.

Also, long hair takes alot of effort to maintain, and some men like the way it shows you are willing to make an effort to look good.

having asked this question of my males friends a million times, it just seems to be some sort of fetish for certain guys. The most common answer i get from them is that it's nice to be able to play with the girl's hair, and it seriously turns them on during trysts(that's what they say, i don't know how much of it is true).

BUT, don't worry too much about sporting a short do. There are guys who love gutsy girls who are confident of themselves too!! BE YOURSELF. that's the most important thing they want to see.
