I am a guy, I have a formal tonight but need to know what I should do with my hair?

I have short to medium hair with a long fringe. Normally, I go for straightening my fringe and then using "rockstar" to do the rest.

Since, its supposed to be formal I need something which I can do but wont look weird, considering I have had the same hairstyle for the 6 months.
